Marcus Emil Christensen is a danish freelance photojournalist based in Copenhagen who just graduated from Danish School of Media and Journalism, where he studied photojournalism from 2019-2023. While he was at school he did a book with his co-students, made an exhibition in Aarhus at DOKK1.
Interning at the Danish Daily Politiken from august 2021 till august 2022. During that time he learned to further develop and apply his skills as a photojournalist, whether it be short daily assignments or bigger reportages. The topics that drive Marcus are primarily social issues in the many forms they exist, whether it be economic, environmental or inequality. Especially inequality and how it impacts people and groups in society is of great importance to Marcus. After he graduated with a PBA in Photojournalism he has made assignments for danish newspapers. He also participated in a podcast about the trailerpark “Corona Camping” (nothing to do with Covid) which was where he made his bachelor/diploma project from.
